I’m fascinated by the undefined and grey areas – when things and objects are not obvious, blur the lines and give space for various interpretations. My works often contain endless loops and varying circular forms – strange openings that invite the viewer to perceive the object as somehow wearable.
As having a dancing background, my work always seeks movement – moving, draping and flowing structures remind us of the everflowing life. I cherish the idea of multifunctionality – that the objects can been seen and worn in different ways.
During my jewellery design studies, I was already searching for ways to construct textile-like structures from metal, as rigid forms felt unsettling. For years, I worked with small silver pieces, but gradually the scale of my works expanded, and my interest shifted from pure adornment toward deeper thematic exploration. A material familiar from my childhood home through my ceramicist mother – porcelain clay – also quietly found its way into my work. I am a jewellery artist working with diverse materials such as ceramics, wood, metal, wool and leather.
