As part of Täky Gallery’s Design Autumn 2025 exhibition series, together with Elli Hukka, we are invited to present our latest works in a joint exhibition from 5 to 29 November 2025. Wearable Matter (Puettavaa ainesta) is our third collaborative exhibition, in which we share interest in the theme of wearability intertwines with the ways of working with diverse, earthy materials.
My works in the exhibition navigate between small, jewelry-like objects and larger, wearable wall pieces. In my studio, hundreds of handmade porcelain and metal beads have been composed into draping, fabric-like structures that explore themes of ambiguity and the boundaries between objects. My new works are lasso-like wall pieces meant to be carried over the shoulder or arm, combining ceramics and metal with leather – a material symbolizing power.
